Track Overview
This course is mandatory for all new track employees and best suited to individuals with little or no
previous railway experience. The course will give employees a brief overview of components, machinery,
track protection requirements, railway safety, and procedures required to maintain and construct track.
At the end of the course participants should understand the complexity of the railway industry and be
able to converse with other railroaders.
Basic Track Tools
The Basic Track Tools training is a comprehensive course designed to equip participants with the
fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to work safely and efficiently with track maintenance and
repair tools used in railway systems. This hands-on training program aims to provide a solid foundation
in the proper use, maintenance, and safety protocols associated with various track tools commonly
employed in the rail industry. Through a combination of theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and
real-world scenarios, participants will gain the confidence and expertise needed to handle track
maintenance tasks effectively.
