  definitions\, rules and special instructions that govern Metrolinx’s ra
 il environment such as the responsibilities of workers and the protection 
 of track work\, track units\, and workers. Learners will leverage and expl
 ore the foundational components of the Metrolinx Operating Manual from an 
 engineering perspective (such as the Canadian Rail Operating Rules\, Timet
 ables and Bulletins)\, learn how these documents are interconnected\, and 
 how to navigate between specific documents. In addition\, this course will
  provide a better understanding of the Metrolinx’s General Engineering I
 nstructions (GEI)\, which are adopted instructions and supporting procedur
 es that add information\, guidance\, and requirements\, to ensure complian
 ce to the Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR) in and on Metrolinx’s Rig
 ht of Way (ROW). Note: This Course provides the participant with a certifi
 cate of training and not a CROR Rules Qualification. Completion of the MX 
 5-day CROR/GEI is an entry level instruction that requires further classro
 om training and field observation through a graduated curriculum developed
  by Metrolinx. Holding track protection and track occupancy are not allowe
 d before level four of the curriculum process. Taking the 5-day CROR/GEI c
 ourse is acceptable for participants that hold an active qualification and
