 definitions\, rules and special instructions that govern Metrolinx’s rai
 l environment such as the responsibilities of workers and the protection o
 f track work\, track units\, and workers. Learners will leverage and explo
 re the foundational components of the Metrolinx Operating Manual from an e
 ngineering perspective (such as the Canadian Rail Operating Rules\, Timeta
 bles and Bulletins)\, learn how these documents are interconnected\, and h
 ow to navigate between specific documents. In addition\, this course will 
 provide a better understanding of the Metrolinx’s General Engineering In
 structions (GEI)\, which are adopted instructions and supporting procedure
 s that add information\, guidance\, and requirements\, to ensure complianc
 e to the Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR) in and on Metrolinx’s Righ
 t of Way (ROW). Note: This Course provides the participant with a certific
 ate of training and not a CROR Rules Qualification. Completion of the MX 5
 -day CROR/GEI is an entry level instruction that requires further classroo
 m training and field observation through a graduated curriculum developed 
 by Metrolinx. Holding track protection and track occupancy are not allowed
  before level four of the curriculum process. Taking the 5-day CROR/GEI co
 urse is acceptable for participants that hold an active qualification and
